Johnny Gaines - Clarendon All Around Athlete
Why Honored: Gaines was a key player for the Broncos in four sports: football, baseball, track, and basketball.
In baseball, he led the team to a 10-1 record his senior year. He also earned district MVP honors. In football, Gaines was named as an all-state quarterback during his final season. Gaines made multiple trips to the UIL track and field state tournament, continually bringing home medals. He also continually excelled on the basketball court.
Gaines went on to continue his baseball career at West Texas A&M University.
