The semi-final round of play at the NCAA Division II Volleyball tournament saw the Lady Buffs facing off against No. 1 Tampa. The team would go on to have one of the best comebacks of the year in the fourth set, winning 36-34 to keep their season alive.
In the fourth set, the Lady Buffs dug themselves into a hole, eventually falling to 9-17. They would go on to score 10 points to Tampa's 7 bringing the score to 19-24 with Tampa at match point. With a trip to the national championship on the line, the Lady Buffs would go on a 6-0 run to take the lead at 25-24. The back and forth between the two teams continued and there were 12 ties in the set and 5 lead changes, 4 of them coming in the last 19 points of the set. A kill from Torrey Miller eventually ended the set 36-34.
The Lady Buffs would go on the claim the fifth set after another impressive scoring run, punching their ticket to the NCAA Division II National Finals.
