Bushland High Volleyball
The Bushland Lady Falcons are no strangers to the UIL State meet. After losing eight seniors from their runner-up 2022 team, Head Coach Jason Culpepper and the Lady Falcons found themselves once again at the big tournament.
This year, the team exacted some revenge on Gunter after last year's state title match up, defeating them 25-22, 25-23, 20-25, 25-23 to win their third state title in four years and sixth in program history.
The Lady Falcons finished the season with an overall record of 42-6, winning 18 matches in a row with 16 sweeps during that time period. Bushland did not allow more than 15 points in a set until the state tournament and did not lose a set from September 19 until the title match.
