ERIC SCHILLING - BASKETBALL COACH OF THE YEAR 2017, 2020, 2025

Eric Schilling - Nazareth High

Why Honored: Schilling has led the Swiftettes basketball program for years, and continued on the proud legacy that has lasted for decades. Schilling and his team joined Canyon, Canadian, and Panhandle as teams that all won state championships on the same day during the 2016-2017 season.

The 2020 season was another historic one for Schilling and the Swiftettes. Schilling led his team to a 31-8 overall record. They would go on to capture their fourth consecutive Class 1A UIL State Championship title. The Swiftettes defeated Lipan 44-31 in the title game.

Eric Schilling led the Nazareth Swiftettes to another dominant season in 2024–2025, finishing with a record of 29-9 and capturing the Class 1A Division II state championship. His team closed the year on a 16-game winning streak and rolled through the playoffs — no opponent came within 20 points during their six postseason victories.

This marks Schilling’s eighth state title in 12 years as head coach at Nazareth. He also surpassed the 400-win milestonethis season during the Eula Holiday Classic.
