Jason Pillion - Amarillo High
Pillion's teams at Amarillo High are widely known for always hustling, taking charges, intense defense, and disciplined play. This level of play has worked for Pillion and the Sandies, finishing the season 34-5 after a loss to the eventual state champion Lancaster in the state semifinals.
Personally, Pillion ended the year as the 2024 District 3-5A Coach of the Year. He amassed his 400th career win in February and led the team to a record setting 34 season wins. He is the only boys coach in Amarillo ISD history to take three teams to the state tournament.
